    Captain Edward Seagrave enlisted in the Militia Company that marched from Uxbridge Massachusetts on the alarm of the 19th of April 1775 under the command of Captain S. Read. Edward Seagrave served as 1st Lieutenant in the company. He also served as Captain of a Company in Col. Joseph Read's regiment the 12th Regiment of Foot in Massachusetts. He served 8 months in this regiment. From 1776 to 1780, he was commissioned a Captain of the 9th Company, 3rd Regiment of Worcester County Massachusetts.

    Edward married Lois White on 6 Jan 1757. Lois was born on 25 Aug 1739; died on 7 Jan 1806. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
