Obituary:
Dorothy was born in Porterville, California and passed into the arms of her loving Savior in Clovis, California.
Dorothy was very active in her 84 years of life, working side by side with her partner and love of her life, Ted Grider, who for many years served as Minister of Music for many valley churches.
Ted and Dorothy met as very young children in Porterville, California and married in June of 1940. They had 43 years of marriage and of ministering their music before Ted passed away in 1983.
Dorothy was extremely active with many organizations throughout her life, and received many honorable plaques of appreciation. She remained very active all of her life and was especially devoted to serving with the Senior Adult Ministries. Dorothy leaves her legacy of prayer and her love of God to all who knew her, but especially to her family. They will be forever grateful for a loving and faithful mother and grandmother.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen Hall; her five siblings, her first husband, Ted Grider; and her second husband, Bill Beasley.
Her survivors are daughters, Linda Jantzen and her husband Larry of Madera, California and Sharon Grider- Kinman and her husband Jerry of Porterville, California; and seven beloved grandchildren, Lance Jantzen, Lori Regier, Lane Jantzen, Leslie Sciocchetti, Sherri Goodnight, Lisa Alvey and Kari Frillici.
She also leaves 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In addition, she leaves sisters-in-law, Marian Shields, Velma Hall and Thelma Hall; brother-in-law, David Grider; and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing for Dorothy will be at Lisle Funeral Home in Fresno on Wednesday afternoon, March 7, 2007, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Worship Center, also in Fresno, on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 10:00 a.m.
Her Burial Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial in Porterville at 2:30 p.m.
