Notes:

Capt. George Carpenter was a past owner of the property once known as 'Shuttle Shop." The "Shuttle Shop" made many of the shuttles used in Uxbridge Mills. It was located on Drabble Tail Brook near the center of town and less than one-eighth
of a mile from the Mumford River. This brook overflowed its banks annually onto Main Street until it was enclosed beneath granite blocks from eh river under Main Street up to the Shuttle Shop property.

Capt. married Charlotte Taft on 5 Nov 1818 in Uxbridge, MA. Charlotte (daughter of Micajah Taft and Deceased) was born on 21 Oct 1791 in Uxbridge, Worcester, MA; was christened on 1 Jan 1833 in First Church Of Christ, Uxbridge, MA; died on 27 Jan 1862 in Uxbridge, Worcester, MA; was buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Uxbridge, Worcester, MA. Emily married Henry Peleg Slater on 25 Jan 1855 in Uxbridge, Worcester, MA. Henry (son of Stephen Slater and Sarah Williams) was born on 26 Dec 1822 in Foster, RI; died on 3 Mar 1905 in Blackstone, Worcester, MA; was buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Uxbridge, Worcester, MA.
