Notes:

Benjamin Williams was the youngest son of Richard Williams, the emigrant who came to America in 1636 with his wife and two children. They first settled in Dorchester, removing soon after to Taunton, where the next seven children were born ending with Benjamin in 1651.

By the will of his father, Benjamin Williams was given the following land as quoted from the will dated 5 May 1686 and probated 10 Oct 1693:

"5thly To my son Benjamin his heirs & assigns for Ever I give my share of land in the north purchase with the other halph of my sd Division of Lands at Weegus ....

"9thly To my two sons Thomas & Benjamin I bequeath my pasture with my barn thereupon Standing to be Equally Divided between them...."

From the share of land in the North Purchase that Benjamin Williams inherited from his father in 1693, he took up land in 1700 on Mulberry Meadow Brook in the present town of Easton. Benjamin continued to live in Taunton....

After Benjamin Williams Sr.'s death in 1701 [his widow] Rebecca married Capt. James Leonard and moved to Raynham, Mass. where she died in 1738.

Benjamin married Rebecca Macy before 1692. Rebecca was born cal 1661; died on 3 Apr 1738; was buried after 3 Apr 1738 in Neck O Land Cemetery, Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
