The undersigned Petitioner, widow of Elbridge G. Hall late of Peru, deceased, begs leave to represent that her family consists of four children all of which are girls. Namely Betsy R aged seven years; Olive W, aged Six years; Eliza P. aged four years and Cordelia F. aged one year and one boy William Andrew Ten years old, taken to be brought up on till twenty one year of age --

She would further represent that her health is poor and has long been so and he constitution is naturally weak.

She therefore prays your Honor to make her such allowance out of the Estate of the aforesaid Elbridge G. Hall as your in your judgement shall deem right and just and as in duty bound will ever pray.

Philip Andrew of England m. Feb. 1825, Elizabeth, dau. of Robinson Turner, sen., Peru. ... Children: ... Mary, b. about 1831, bid off a pauper Apr. 3, 1837, till ae. 18, by Elijah Hall for $18. William, b. 1835, m. Sept. 1855, Genett B., dau. of Volentine Mathews of Franklin Pl.... It is claimed he d. Nov. 15, 1883.... Mary lived a short time with Elijah Hall who left town in 1839 or 40 and Mary is traced to Seth Turner's; there in 1846 at Brettun's Mills. She finally went to Mass., m. a Lovell. In 1860 she visited Peru with her son about six years old and went with writer to see her brother Wm., then married and living in Franklin; found his wife and was entertained. Wm. was away several miles and she did not see him. This was the last known of Mary. Wm. when young went to live with Elbridge G. Hall on the Thomas Burgess place where he grew up."

"Elbridge G. Hall of Rumford lived on this farm in early forties. He was lifting a boulder from ground using a long lever when something gave way, causing end of Lever in air to strike against neck of Mr. Hall, producing death."
