UXBRIDGE - Elias Richardson, Jr., 93, of Uxbridge, died Fri. Nov. 6, 2015 at his home with his family at his side.
He was the husband of the late Marjorie R. (Toomey) Garrepy Richardson who died in 2014 and the late Loris L. "Molly" (Macker) Richardson died in 2006.
Mr. Richardson was a 4th generation farmer for over 50 years on the family's farm which was settled in the 1700's. He later worked for 15 years at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton.
Mr. Richardson was born December 11, 1921 in Uxbridge, son of the late Elias Richardson, Sr. and Laura M. (Ballou) Richardson. A lifelong resident of Uxbridge, he attended Uxbridge High School. He was a dedicated family man and enjoyed gardening and being with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his great great grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, Timothy A. Richardson of Clearwater, FL, Elias Richardson III of Uxbridge, Rev. Roy A. Richardson of Stafford Springs, CT, Walter D. Richardson I of Burrillville, RI; three daughters, Gaytha M. Baker of Whitinsville, Trudy A. Guilbault of Blackstone, and Laura M. Brown of Milford; a step-daughter, Cynthia L. Hourihan of RI; 25 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Wayne E. Richardson Sr.; two brothers, Daniel Richardson and Oliver Richardson and seven sisters, Fannie M. Williams, Nellie Martinson, Ruth R. Whittaker, Laura Anderson, Elsie E. Richardson, Olive R. Pendleton and Leona Tanner.
Visiting hours will be held on Wed. Nov. 11, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St. (Rt. 122), Uxbridge.
Funeral services will be held Thurs. Nov. 12, 2015 at 11 AM in the Buma Funeral Home, Uxbridge. Interment will follow in Richardson Cemetery, South St., Uxbridge. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice .
