    William Barsham was a Juror in 1630. His origin is undertermined, but the name is common in Norfolk.

    William Barsham and Annabella came over in 1630 and had a homestall near Mount Auburn. Freeman in 1637, Selectman in 1653. He had nine children; the eldest graduated from Harvard, 1658; the youngest was Mrs. Adam Eve whose grave is in the old burying-ground. (Robinson, G.     Susanna Barsham, dau. of William and Annabella Barsham of Watertown, Mass., b. Jan. 28, 1641/42 at Watertown. She was living on July 10, 1707 at Dorchester, Mass. when her husband's estate was probated and is probably the "widow Capen" whose death is recorded in the Dorchester VRs as having died Mar. 4, 1714/15.

    On Nov. 19, 1663 at Dorchester, Mass. Susanna m. Lieut. John Capen, Jr., s. of Dea. John Capen and Redegon Clap(q.v. Clapp). He was b. Oct. 21, 1639 at Dorchester, Mass. and d. there June 8, 1707,

    John sat under the ministry of Rev Nehemiah Hobert, in the First Congregational Church of Cambridge until his 17th year of age. Mr Hobert d. 1716, age 64; he was a Fellow in Harvard College, and in a memorial sermon for him, notice is made of
    a remark of Dea. Hall concerning his preaching; it appears evident that John Hall lived in or near Cambridge all of his life and that he held the office of a deacon.
