According to Vital Records of Vinalhaven, Knox County, Maine Prior to 1892, transcribed by Elizabeth Mosher,pub. by Picton Press, p. 39, Edward & Sarah, both of Vinalhaven, were married 7 Nov 1800. Page 11 provides her birth as Dec. 28, 1781 and father's name as Jeremiah Philbrook, mother's name not given.
The 1850 U. S. census taken in Searsmont reflects her age at the time of the census as 67, which agrees with the age on her gravestone, placing her birth as Dec. 26, 1784; however, the 1860 U. S. census, also taken in Searsmont, Maine gives her age as 78 - this would put her back in agreement with the Vinalhaven Vital Records.
Since it appears the age is incorrect on her husband's gravestone, I suspect Sarah's age at death may also be incorrect.
