Notes: Church Brainerd filled positions of trust and responsibility in the formative years of Farmington, Maine. He settled in Sandy River Township in 1783 after his service in the Revolution. He helped to establish Farmington Academy and was a petitioner to the General Assembly for its benefit. He also was a surveyor, town treasurer, clerk, and was elected Deacon of the Baptist Church in 1797. Church married Abigail "Nabby" Hall on 16 Apr 1789 in Winthrop, Kennebec County, Maine.
