Church Brainerd filled positions of trust and responsibility in the formative years of Farmington, Maine. He settled in Sandy River Township in 1783 after his service in the Revolution. He also was a surveyor, town treasurer, clerk, and was elected Deacon of the Baptist Church in 1797.
