NOTE: He was originally surnamed Haven, but he adopted his step-father's name of Stone. In his marriage intention of June 8,1776, he is called David Haven, but in the marriage record of July 25,1776, he is called David Stone.

Son of ____ Haven and Esther (Gale) Haven Stone (b.1730). His step-father was William Stone (b.1719). William Stone was a son of Ebenezer Stone and Sarah Bond Stone. David's mother Esther remarried twice more after William's death -- in 1780 to John Todd, and in 1799 to Robert McIntire.
