Josephine McCausland Butler, the daughter of W. F. and Alice McCausland, was born in Kerton township, Fulton county, Illinois, near Enion, Illinois, on January 26, 1897, and passed away on April 29th, 1932, at the age of 35 years, 3 months and 3 days. She was united with the Christian church of Bath in 1913. On May 31, 1916, she was united in marriage with McDonald Cantrall, who preceded her in death in 1918. To this union was born one son, C. J. Cantrall. On March 2, 1921, she was united in marriage to E. E. Butler and to this union two children were born: Shirley and Kathleen. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, one son, C. J.; two daughters,Shirley and Kathleen; also one sister, Mrs. Carrie Wrestler; three brothers, James, Fred and Joe McCausland, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Niederer Funeral Home, 105 West Main street Havana, Illinois, on Monday, May 2, 1932, at two p. m. in charge of Rev. Ralph E. Cummins, assisted by Rev. Geo. Fidler. Interment was made in Bath cemetery.
