Michael R. Altomare, age 92, died Wed. Feb. 5, 2020, at his home.

Born Aug. 22, 1927, in Philadelphia, he was the widower of the late Marion M. (Hall) Altomare.

Michael served his country with distinction in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Michael spent his working years as a parts manager for International Harvester, Sales associates for Snyder's Lumber and Homestead Product Supply, and his remaining years as a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown. Mike's hobbies included a passion for gardening, especially tomatoes for salads, growing Gladiolas for the folks at St. Luke's, and working on improving his homes.

Michael is survived by: sons Robert, Steven, and Carl Altomare; daughter Donna Henry; grandchildren Jack, Grant, David Jr. Abigail, and Lindsay; and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by: son David Altomare and grandson Christopher.

Services and interment will be private and at the discretion of the family.
