    Fred H. Hall

    GOODING -- Fred H. Hall, 81, of Gooding died Tuesday at the Gooding County Memorial Hospital.

    Born July 22, 1904, in Rocky Ford, Colo., he moved with his family to Idaho when he was 10 yers old. He graduated from high school in Twin Falls in 1922. He attended Park College in Parkville, Mo., where he graduated. He then went to Albion State Normal for summer school, and taught junior high school fro three years in Twin Falls.

    He married Elizabeth Buchanan in Twin Falls in 1928. The were later divorced.

    He then attended the Chicago Theological Seminary for three years and was ordained a Presbyterian minister. He served in churches in Nebraskam Idaho, Washinigton and, locally, in Buhl. He retired from the ministry because of health reasons after 23 years and took a position with the State of Idaho Health and Welfare Department. He was transferred to Gooding in 1960, where he joined the staff at the Tuberculosis Hospital and remained there until it closed in 1970.

    He married Margie Allen in July 1964.

    He belonged to the Gooding Elks Lodge No. 1745 and had served as chaplain.

    Surviving are: his wife of Gooding; two daughters, Marguerite Stevenson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Carley Kirby of Lake Oswego, Ore.; two step-daughters, Joy May Thomason of Spokane, Wash., and Marjorie Shepherd of Longview, Texas; two step-sons, Dean Allen of Gooding and Gary Allen of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; one brother, Lawrence Hall of Lacey, Wash.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

    The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gooding Christian Church with Rev. Harold Hake officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

    Friends may call Demaray's Gooding Chapel today from 1 to 7 p.m.

    The family suggests contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

    Lawrence M. Hall

    Lawrence M. Hall, 90, of Lacey, Wash., died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997, at the Panorama City Convalescent Center in Lacey.

    He was born Nov. 5, 1907, in Rocky Ford, Colo., to Gilbert and Flora (Smith) Hall. He graduated from Hollister High School in 1925 and attended the University of Washington in Seattle. Lawrence married Elaine McConel, and worked for Idaho Power Company. He lived in Lacey area for 20 years.

    He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed woodworking.

    Survivors include his wife, Elaine Hall of Lacey, Wash.; two sons, Bruce Hall of Spanaway, Wash., and Robert Hall of Palm Coast, Fla.; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews.

    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 1997, at the Panorama City Quinault Chapel in Lacey. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Funeral Home in Olympia, Wash.
