    Sarah was the daughter of Dearman Williams, who settled in Humboldt township in 1855, and Mary Farmer. She married T Elwood Collins in Marshall Co, Iowa on 25 April 1855. They were the parents of 8 children: Alcaeus, Alice, Oella, Olive, William, Galen, Franklin, and Arthur.

    May 15, 1903 - Humboldt county Republican - Mrs. T.E. Collins death took place at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Hewitt, near Ottosen, May 10, aged 78 years. The funeral took place at Livermore on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Mrs. Collins was one of the earliest settlers in this county. She leaves a husband and several children.

    History of Kossuth and Humboldt county, Iowa page 753 - He was married in Marshall Co, Iowa in 1855 to Sarah Williams, who was born in Ohio in 1835. She was at that time a teacher. Her father, Dr D Williams, was born in Ohio in 1804 and died in Humboldt county in 1867. Her mother died in Ohio.
