Palmer Moody was the seventh child of thirteen born to Richard Bailey Moody and Mary "(Polly") Cooper Moody, of Whitefield.

Palmer Moody was a brother of Lorenzo D. Moody, who is also buried in this cemetery.

Palmer S. Moody married Antoinette Hall on 28 July 1850, at Chelsea, Maine. She was the daughter of Benjamin Hall and Eunice FOUNTAIN Hall. Antoinette and her father are also buried in this cemetery.
