    (Research):It is possible that Mabel Joyce is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mattapan, Suffolk, MA. There is a note about this specific Mabel Joyce which states: Joyce was part of the dance team of Joyce and Lorraine. She was brought to America by Oscar Hammerstein for the ballet of one of his opera productions.

    I find it odd that Mable Silbor married Patrick Frank Joyce and had a daughter Lorraine who died at the age of 8 in Manhattan, NY and its coincidne to an act called Joyce and Lorraine where one of the members was Mabel Joyce.

    Perhaps she moved back to England and then came with Oscar Hammerstein afterwards.

    Her date of death would be 29 Oct 1932.

    (Research):Sometime around the beginning of October 1996, I had asked my grandfather, Hurley Silbor, Sr., if he had any knowledge of where he came from. He stated he was a ward of the State of Massachussetts and was never adopted. He told me that he knew very little about his past.
    He told me that he had tried for years to gain this same information, but had no luck. I contacted the Department of Social Services for the State of Massachusetts to gain knowledge of my grandfather's parents. They would not relinguish any information to me on this matter, as he was still alive. He had to request the information himself. I got a name for a point of contact in Boston, MA. He then contacted the person that I told him about and on October 21, 1996 she called him on the phone and told him that his father was Russian, was Jewish, was a boxer and was killed. They also told him that his mother was English. They ended by saying that there were going to research it further. Over the following several weeks, he received his past in the mail, a past truly to be proud of.

    Hurley married Florence Thibeault on 9 Apr 1937. Florence (daughter of Napoleon Thibeault and Angelina Grenier) was born on 3 Apr 1919 in New Bedford, Bristol, MA; died on 31 Jul 1994 in Milford, Worcester, MA; was buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Uxbridge, Worcester, MA.
