Ethel was the daughter of John Mack [Grier] and Jane Davis, from Ohio and Michigan respectively.
Ethel married on Jan. 9 1896 in Nevada, Story County, IA. She was the second wife of Albert Louis Hall, who was born in 1850 in Connecticut, the son of Ephraim Hall and Louisa Plimpton. He had two children from his previous marriage:
1. Jessie, b. about Aug. 1883-4
2. Herman W., b. about March 1886
With Ethel they had children all born in Ames:
