The Gazette states that Baxter Crowell, Esq., of Canaan, committed suicide by hanging himself on Monday morning. Mr. Crowell was advanced in age and possessed of a large property. He has labored under a depression of mind for some time and been narrowly watched lest he should put an end to his earthly existence.
