GLADYS HALL DOE HOMEMAKER, FORMER REGISTERED NURSE

Gladys Hall Doe, 88, of Tenants Harbor here died Monday her home after a long illness.

She was born in Dedham, daughter of Wallace and LeNora H. Goodwin Black, and graduadted from the former Emerson Hospital Nursing School, Boston.

Mrs. Doe was a homemaker.

She worked at Frisbee General Hospital, Rochester, N.H., for five years.

She retired to Tenants Harbor in 1962.

She was a member of Tenants Harbor Baptist Church.

Her first husband, Gardner S. Hall, died in 1946, and her second husband, Donald Doe, died in 1975.

Survivors include two sons, Benjamin Hall of East Hampton, Conn., and Daniel Hall of South Hampton, Mass.; two daughters, Hannah Hall of Biddeford and Mrs. David (Nancy) Mitchell of Moultonboro, N.H.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Davis Funeral Home, Thomaston. The Rev. Robert Boyer will officiate. Spring burial will be in Seaside Cemetery.

Gladys married Gardner Sewell "Red" Hall on 3 Sep 1933 in Marlborough, Cheshire County, New Hampshire. Gardner (son of Hon. Benjamin Gardner Hall and Adeline Maude Gilpatrick) was born on 2 Oct 1900 in Marlborough, Cheshire County, New Hampshire; died on 10 Apr 1946 in Waterbury, Washington County, Vermont; was buried after 10 Apr 1946 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Marlborough, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.
