FREIDRICH W. MEIER

FREIDRICH W. MEIER, 85, of Hobson Avenue, a jewelry worker most of his life, died Dec. 14 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, Providence.

He was the husband of the late Edith (Hall) Meier. Born in Phorzheim, Germany, a son of the late Adolf and Elsa (Sauerhoefer) Meier, he immigrated to this country in 1939 and lived in North Providence for 45 years.

Mr. Meier was a sales representative for the Universal Chain Co., Maplewood, N.J., retiring in 1981. He was a life member of the Providence Animal Rescue League.

He leaves 32 nieces and nephews. He was a brother of the late Adolf and Heinz Meier.

A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 6 p.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, 474 Fruit Hill Ave. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
