Walter A. McNulty, 81, of Farmington, AR, formerly of East Hartford, passed away Monday (June 22, 1998).

He was born Aug. 15, 1917 in Ayer, MA, the son of Walter A. and Helen O'Connor.

He was a retired Air Force Veteran and served in World War II. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Colleen (Dwyer) McNulty; a son Walter A. McNulty of Georgia; two daughters, Carol Otting of California and Patrice Therian of Fayetteville, AR; also three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three brothers. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Spaulding of Suffield.

Services were held at Fayetteville National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the U.S. AirForce. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN; 38105-1942 or Alzheimer's Assn., 70 East Lake St., Suite 600, Chicago, IL.

Walter married Colleen M. Dwyer about 1942. Colleen was born on 26 Jan 1922 in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine; died on 12 Aug 2006 in Farmington, Washington County, Arkansas; was buried on 18 Aug 2006 in Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas. Carol was born on December 24, 1944 in Bangor, ME and passed away March 3, 2010 after a long illness. She was a long time resident of Merced. She moved to Tampa, Florida in 2001.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, Gene Otting of Tampa, Florida; daughter Lisa McClarran and son-in-law Mark McClarran of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter Suzie Tallarida and son-in-law Dominick Tallarida of Goldsboro, North Carolina. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Justin and Tyler McClarran, and Kaitlin and Madison Tallarida.
