Addison B. Cooke
Addison Barnwell Cooke, husband of Mary (Wison) Cooke, formerly of Hagerstown, died suddenly of a heart attack August 12 while on a business trip to Pittsburgh. He resided at 4621 Wayne Avenue, Philadelphia.
Mr. Cooke was a graduate of Episcopal High School at Alexandria, Va., and the University of Virginia. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
Well known in the insurance field, he was agent for the Continental Casualty Company of Chicago and was connected with S. Z. Goodstein and Co., Inc., of Philadelphia.
Interment will be made at St. Paul's Cemetery along the Western Pike.
Mrs. Cooke is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wilson.
Buried:
His obituary says he was buried at St. Paul's Cemetery on the Western Pike. I do not know where that might be. I think it may be St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Exton, Chester Co., PA, but cannot confirm.
Addison married Hortense deBeauharnais Mellier before 1930, and was divorced before 27 Jan 1940 in Reno, Washoe County, Nevada. Hortense (daughter of Henry Francis Mellier and Elizabeth Bixler) was born on 14 Jun 1907 in Maryland; died on 2 Mar 1966 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California; was buried after 2 Mar 1966 in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland.
