Petition by Andrew J. Cummings of Lysander, Executor for the last will and testiment for Ephraim Hall, deceased, died in the town of Onondaga on the 8th day of June instant [1842].

Leaving Esther Hall of Onondaga, widow.

Also leaving John Hall of Lysander, Onondaga county; Ephraim Hall of Coshocton, Steuben county; George W. Hall, Julia Hunt wife of Samuel Hunt and Harriet Butler of Onondaga; and Elijah Hall of Eaton, Eaton County, Michigan, his only heirs, all of full age.

Will was dated 27 December 1841; George Hall and Andrew J Cummings were named as executors

Andrew J. "Cummings married the widow daughter by a former husband".

Ephraim's Will was contested. He had "cut off all Jeheil's children but one." "Jehiel Hall, the son of dec'd left three children George W., Harriet and Julia. Harriet is a widow with children. I guess she is not worth a great deal, she has a house & a little spot. She has two children. The house is worth at least $75, not enough land for a garden. Julia is married to Mr. Hunt but has no children that I know of. I do not know their circumstances, her husband is a man of small prospect."

Ephraim married Jerusha Abbe on 15 Jan 1784. Jerusha (daughter of Gideon Abbe and Bathsheba Smith) was born on 3 Jan 1761 in Mansfield, Tolland County, Connecticut; died on 25 Mar 1816 in Navarino, Onondaga County, New York; was buried after 25 Mar 1816 in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino, Onondaga County, New York.
