    Obituary:
    ABBEVILLE -- Roger "Yank" Collins Barbour, 66, husband of Brigitta E. Barbour, of Route 3, died Jan. 2, 1990 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

    Born in Windsor, Conn., he was a son of the late Frances Collin and Gladys Clark Barbour. He was a World War II Army veteran, a charter member of Lions Club International and of the Baptist faith.

    Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are a daughter, Mrs. Susan P. Clark of Brooklyn, Conn.; seven sons, Dana C. Barbour of Satellite Beach, Fla., David M. Barbour of Littleton, Colo., Jeffrey Barbour of Boulder Creek, Calif., Wesley B. Barbour of Brooklyn, Francis R. Barbour of Abbeville and Clayton and Douglas L. Barbour of Old Saybrook, Conn.; two brothers, Phillip CC. Barbour of Overland Park, Kan., and George F. Barbour of Old Saybrook; a sister, Barbara Filbert of Wyoming; and nine grandchildren.

    Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

    The family will be at 205 Wardlaw St., Abbeville.

    Roger married Sophia "Sonja" Marchuck on 30 Sep 1943 in Newington, Hartford County, Connecticut, and was divorced in Nov 1964 in Putnam County, Florida. Sophia (daughter of Nicholas D. "Nick" Marchuk and Mary Ignatchuk) was born on 25 Feb 1918 in Manchester, Hartford County, Connecticut; died on 13 Dec 1989 in South Woodstock, Windham County, Connecticut; was buried on 16 Dec 1989 in Woodstock Central Cemetery, Woodstock, Windham County, Connecticut.
