Peter settled with his family in Sudbury, near the family of Walter Haynes, who had sailed with Peter on his first trip to America. Dorothy married John Haynes, the son of Walter, on October 13, 1642 in Sudbury. Dorothy and John had twelve children in Sudbury. John wrote his will on March 29, 1697 and died soon after. His death is not recorded in Sudbury, although he must have died there. Dorothy's death, as a widow, is recorded in Sudbury, on April 8, 1715
