Notes: Over 200 Smallpox Victims Lie Interred on the Island: Before sale of the property to the Public Health Service in 1914, the City determined that over 200 victims of smallpox were buried on the islands; eastern shores.

The Massachusetts Historical Commission does not refers to this cemetery in MACRIS.

GALLOPS IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. At this point in time visitors to the Park are unable to visit Gallops Island due to the presence of asbestos.
