    Obituary Aft 30 Jul 1897
    • At the coming meeting of the Northwester Association, we shall miss the familiar face of our long-time friend Geo. W. Hall, whose death occurred at Negaunee, Mich. a few weeks ago.

Mr. Hall had resided in the West many years, and occupied positions of importance as inspector at St. Paul, and in the Lake Superior region. Professionally he was a man of excellent judgment, large information, and great tact in performing the difficult duties in which he was engaged. His opinions were in accord with those held by the best men in our business, and his decsions were received with great confidence.

The notice of his death in the local paper of Negaunee states that he had been afflicted with kidney trouble, which gave rise to the sickness which caused his death. He was buried at Lockport, N.Y., which was his former home. The Monitor records it respectful sympathy with the family who mourn his loss.
