  Thomas Thayer's Godfathers were Thomas Gibbs and William Dimery. Thomas (Tayer) Thayer was in Boston, MA before 24 Feb 1639/40, when land was granted to him at Mount Wollaston (Braintree, MA) for "9 heads" in his family, these consisting of himself and wife Margery, his sons Thomas, Ferdinando, and Shadrach, perhaps 2 daughters, Sarah and Hannah, born soon after his arrival in New England, and possibly two servents.
