  Thomas Francis Hall was named after his grandfather.  He grew up on Rochester, NY.  After graduating as a mechanical engineer from Clarkson Tech, he got his first job in New Jersey.  In 1955, he took his family to Sacramento, CA where he began his career in the aerospace industry.
