  • Notes
    • From FindaGrave:

Julia's parents were Harriet E. Hoole Churchill and Capt. James Morrill Churchill. Her father was a successful merchant trader and ship master. Born June 11, 1816 in Portland, he was a son of James Creighton Churchill. He is not found in this plot. He died in Cardenas, Matanzas, Cuba, on April 4, 1890.

Julia was called by her middle name, Edith. She was the fourth of six sisters. When she died, after 6 years of marriage, she was buried in the large family plot of her parents, grandparents, and her sisters. Her husband, Dr. Arthur Smith Bird, is buried only a short walk up the hill, with his parents. Julia and Arthur had a baby boy, George Emerson Bird, who lived four months the summer and fall of 1878.
