      Lyman D. Moulton, 86, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 16, after several weeks' illness with heart disease.

      He was born in Holliston. Mass., April 29, 1833. When two years of age he moved with his parents to Dover and had since been a resident of this town.

      In 1863 he married Melissa Fisher of South Newfane and in 1867 he married Furtima Hall of Townshend, who survives with four sons and three daughters. One daughter died in childhood.

      Prayer was offered at the home by Rev. F.M. Wiswall and funeral services were held in the Baptist church Thursday, Dec. 18, at 1 o'clock, the pastor, Rev. C. O. Dunham officiating. The choir sang three selections. The body was placed in the vault at Dover Center.

      Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Silas Moulton of North Grantham, N.H., Mr. and Mrs. Burt Whitney of West Leyden, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Wiswell, Emma Moulton, Darwin Howard, Mr. and Mrs. L F. Moulton and Elwin Jones of Newfane, Joseph Moulton of Wardsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Amos Carey of Halifax.
