- From FindaGrave:
Preserved married his first wife Tabitha Lee on October 23, 1701. Tabitha was a step-daughter to Jedediah Strong, Preserved's father.
Preserved supposedly got his name because he was born in a "great snow storm, and preserved, 'notwithstanding its severity, and the extreme cold weather following.'" (from the book John Lee, by Sarah Marsh Lee, Norwich, 1878, p. 135)
They migrated to Lebanon, Connecticut about 1709; after 1730 they lived in Coventry, where Preserved served on the board of selectmen in 1730, '31, '34, and '35. Tabitha preceded him in death.
Preserved and Tabitha produced eight children:
Noah Strong (1702 - 1771)
Elizabeth Strong (1704 - 1792)
Moses and Aaron Strong, twins (b. 1708)
Tabitha Strong Parker (b. 1710)
Mary Strong Ritter (1714 - 1754)
John Strong (b. 1715)
Enoch Strong (b. 1720)
Some time after his first wife Tabitha died in 1750, Preserved married Abigail Stebbins. They had one child:
Mary Strong Pixley
After the death of his second wife, Preserved married a widow, Mary Hart Lee. They did not have any children.
