- Miss Eleanor Catherine Ivanye of Oberlin, Ohio, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ivanye of Shaker Heights, Ohio, became the bride Saturday of Robert P. Brundage of Cleveland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Percival Brundage of 169 Christopher Street. The ceremony was performed in the First Congregational Church in Columbus, by the Rev. Boynton Merrill, and a reception followed at the parsonage, 2704 Beverley Park Road, Columbus.
Given in marriage by her brother, Pfc. Robert Ivanye, a veteran of Anzio, who has been awarded the Purple Heart, the bride was attended by Miss Claire Wolff of New Kensington, Pa., as maide of honor, and by Miss Lois Brundage of Montclair, and Miss Hope Harvey of Middletown, Conn., as bridesmaids. Mr.s Brundage served his son as best man, and John McWettry of Chicago, Ill., and Elston Belknap Jr. of Milwaukee, Wis., were ushers.
The bride wore colonial gown of white satin with a collar of lace between tulle and satin, cuffs of lace, and a train.A juliet cap of lace held her fingertip veil, and she carried a colonial bouquet of white flowers. Her maid of honor wore a gown of pink lace and bet, and carried a colonial bouquet, and the bridemaids' gowns were light blue.
The bride is a graduate of Oberlin College. Mr. Brundage attended Montclair High School and was graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy and Harvard College. He is at present a staff correspondent for the Wall Stree Journal in Cleveland.
The bridal couple will be honored this evening at a reception for a few friends to be given by the bridegroom's parents at their Christopher Street home, with Phil Bennett's orchestra furnishing the music.
After the wedding trip, the couple will lill in Cleveland.
