      Mrs. Asenath M. Summers, 81, of 1022 W. Spring St., died at 4 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a three-day illness.

      Born in Anderson, Ind., on Sept. 14, 1872, Mrs. Summers had been a resident of Lima for the last 15 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Auburn, Ind., and of the Congregational Christian Church in Kokomo, Ind.

      Her husband, John, died in 1929.

      Survivors include three sons, Leslie G., 1022 W. Spring St., C. M. Summers, Blue Island, Ill., and John L. Summers, Toledo; a daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Ann Manier, Hollywood, Calif.; a brother, Hollis Michener, Kokomo, Ind; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Chiles & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Hamblen officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Auburn, Ind.
