VAN HORNESVILL, n. Yp., Jan. 3 -- Miss Esther Van Horne Young was married this afternoon to Giles Constable in the family church. The Rev. George French performed the Protestant Episcopal ceremony. There was a reception in the home her of the bride's grandfather, Owen D. Young.
Mrs. Constable is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. young of Princeton, N. J., and Van Hornesville. Her husband's parents are Mr. and Mrs. William G. Constable of Cambridge, Mass.
Mr. Young gave his daughter in marriage. She was attired in a gown of eggshell peau de soie, appliqued with Alencon lace and pearls, and finished with a fitted bodice and three-quarter-length sleeves. Her tulle veil was attached to a crown of pearls. She carried white flowers.
Mrs. Nathaniel Schnurman was her cousin's only attendant.
Dr. John D. Constable was his brother's best man.
Mrs. Constable is a graduate of the Shipley School and Radcliffe College. Her grandfather is a former president and board chairman of the General Electric Company.
Mr. Constable graduated from Phillips Andover and Harvard. He is Assistant Professor of Medieval History at Harvard.
