  From FindaGrave: Jireh was born the son of Jireh Swift and Abigail Gibbs in Sandwich. His birth place is also shown in some records as Wareham in Plymouth County. Jireh was seventh born of eleven children to the Swift family. At the age of twenty, he married Deborah Hathaway on Oct. 9, 1730 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Deborah was the age of 17, the daughter of Jonathan Hathaway and Susannah Pope of Dartmouth. Jireh was known to be a deacon in the local church. Jireh and Deborah had seven children known to me. 1. Jonathan Swift, b. 1730; d. 1763; m. Elizabeth Bourne on Oct. 16, 1753. They had five children. 2. Susannah Swift, b. 1734; d. 1806; m. Dr. Samuel Perry on Apr. 14, 1754 in Dartmouth. They had two children. 3. Lois Swift, b. 1737; d. 1813; m. Manasseh Kempton on Apr. 5, 1764. 4. Jireh Swift, b. 1741; d. 1817; m. Elizabeth Haskell on Jan. 6, 1763. They had one child. 5. Silas Swift, b. 1742; d. 1803; m. Deborah Tobey on Dec. 17, 1765. They had 12 children. 6. Deborah Swift, b. 1748; d. 1831; m. Gamaliel Bryant on Nov. 26, 1768. They had two children. 7. Paul Swift, b. 1753; d. 1810; m1. Sarah Pope on Feb. 9 1775; m2. Jemima Hathaway on Feb. 27, 1804. Jireh died at age 74, in Acushnet. He was survived by his wife by twelve years.
