Born in Montpelier, Vt, wife of Sidney Hauxhurst.
Descendnant of Benjamin Hall and of Jonathan Janes, as follows:
1. William Hutchins Cottrill (1823-1897), m. Frances Elizabeth Hall (1826-1901)
2. Charles Hall, M.D. (1785-1847), m. 2nd, 1823, Charlotte Janes Hubbard (1806-1870).
3. Benjamin Hall, m. 1771, Elizabeth Moseley;
Ethan Hubbard, m. Ruby Janes.
4. Jonathan Janes, m. --- Plympton.
Benjamin Hall (1746-1833) served on the Rhode Island Alarm in Capt. Bartholomew Woodbury's Company, Col. Johnathan Holman's regiment. He was born in Sutton, Mass.; died in St. Albans, Vt.
Jonathan Janes (1756-1823) responded to Lexington Alarm in Capt. James Sherman's company, Colonel Pyncheon's Massachusetts regiment. He died in St. Alban's, Vt.

BENJAMIN HALL (David4, Joseph3, John2-1) b. Feb. 27, 1745; d. at St. Albans, Vt., Aug. 20, 1833, at the home of his son, Charles, where he had lived a few years. He m. Aug. 22, 1771, Elizabeth Mosely, who d. Sept., 19, 1820. He was a farmer and res. in Cornish most of his life. Seven children, all b. in Cornish:
i. DAVID, b. 1774. Rem. to Brimfield, Portage Co., O., where he d. in 1844
ii. ELIZABETH, b. Nov. 29, 1777; m. first, Jonas Parker; m. second, Chas. Badger; m. third, William Walker. She d. in Sparta Tenn., Nov. 23, 1846.
iii. JOHN, b. ---, 1779; m. Nov. 25, 1814, Lois Morgan of Hartland, Vt., w. d. in Cornish May 29, 1843. Res. Cornish, Windsor and Ludlow, Vt. He was a saddler; d. in 1847.
iv. CHARLES, b. Feb. 2, 1785. Graduated at med. Dept. of Dartmouth College in 1811. A physician and surgeon of high standing, also a liberal writer on various medical subjects. An ardent promoter of temperance. He m. first, July 18, 1813, Eliza Braayton, of Swanton, Vt.; m. second, May 16, 1821, Charlotte Jane Hubbard. He. res. at St. Albans and Burlington, Vt.; d. at Burlington Dec. 3, 1847. Had eight children.
v. BENJAMIN PRESCOTT, b. ---, 1786; m. ----, 183, Bridgett Little. Settled in Canada where he d. at Fort Erie, Ont., Feb. 12, 1851.
vi. CYRENIUS, b. 1788; m. three time; res. at Ft. Erie and Westmoreland, Ont., dying at the latter place, Feb. 20, 1860.
vii. HORACE, b. in 1793; m. Dec. ---, 1815, Maria Field. A merchant, res. in Auburn, N.Y., and in New Orleans, La., where he d. of yellow fever in 1820.
